Due to our unique capacity, Alpha Shaping is a leader in gear shaping. Coupled with
four generations of knowledge and expertise, this allows Alpha Shaping to meet any
request and exceed any expectations our customers may have. We specialize in internal
and external involute splines and spurs, external helicals, herringbones, & gear
racks. We can shape up to 120” external/internal pitch diameters and can stroke
up to 19” face lengths. Our unique capacity relates to more than just the size of
parts we can produce. It also refers to the sheer volume of Fellows gear shapers
we have at our disposal for internal & external shaping.

Although Alpha Shaping is focused on gear shaping, we also have the ability to help
you in other facets of gear manufacturing. We can provide you with in-house hobbing,
turning, milling, and drilling. We are able to manufacture complete or just cut
teeth only. We have the knowledge and ability to assist you with specialized gears
such as worm and worm gears - whether single start, multiple starts, or double enveloped
- as well as double helicals and spiroids. Whatever gearing needs you may have,
